This year during the Hereford Arts Trail we were making our last visit of the day, to a small lane just outside Monmouth. We had been looking for a long time for a piece of art that was just right for a large empty wall in our hall but nothing had so far captured our imagination. Suddenly we saw a work of art that we both liked, that we felt would be enhanced by the space – if it fitted – and finally decided we couldn’t leave it behind.

We measured it and decided it would fit the space, checked that we could get it into the hall and hired a large van to bring it home. Throughout the process Jan was really helpful, assisting us to get the painting safely here.

Its now here, in pride of place on our landing wall for us to enjoy each day.
